Helped us manage projects

We got PDWare to help with our project stuff, especially trying to figure out who was doing what. It made it way easier to see our team's schedule and if anyone was overloaded. The resource scheduling part was really helpful. It just made our whole process feel more organized. Pretty good experience overall, no big problems.

Good for resource planning

Signed up for their Resource Forecasting Tools. It works as advertised. The data visualization is clear. Helped us predict needs better. Implementation was quick enough. Solid product.

Good features, some setup time

We recently implemented PDWare for our resource capacity planning. The features for strategic resource allocation are quite robust and have helped us visualize our team's workload much better. The initial setup was a bit more involved than I anticipated, taking our IT team a good week to get everything integrated, especially with our existing project accounting systems. Customer support was helpful during this phase, but I wished there were more detailed self-help guides for complex integrations. Overall, it's a solid tool that provides good value once it's up and running.

Smooth trial, easy decision

I tried the 14-day trial of their Resource Management module, mostly to check out the capacity modeling tools. The sign-up process was straightforward, and I got access quickly. I found the UI pretty intuitive, and their online tutorials were useful for getting started. I played around with some scenario planning, and it gave me a good sense of how it could help our team. We decided to go ahead with an annual subscription after the trial, and the sales rep was easy to work with on the quote. Integration with our current ERP was a concern, but they walked us through the potential steps. So far, it's been a positive experience.

Thinking about PDWare for our team. Does it play nice with Jira, or is it a whole separate thing we'd have to manage?

E Elena 1 month ago
Yeah, they integrate with Jira. Makes tracking stuff a lot easier if you're already using it.

It does, I think you'd just need to make sure your Jira setup is pretty standard, but it's a known integration. Saves a lot of double entry.

Anyone know if PDWare ever does actual discount codes? Like, a coupon you can just type in? Or is it all 'contact us for a quote' kinda stuff?

B Beth 2 months ago
Nah, never seen a public code. It's usually based on how many users you have or if you pay yearly.

Pretty sure they don't do public codes like for other software. It's more of an enterprise thing, so you're negotiating based on your org's size and stuff. You can get a discount for paying annually though, usually like 10-15% off.
